Who We Are

Artistic Center: PMA integrates a performance venue, Hollywood grade film studio and professional recording studio with studios, a gallery and coffee bar to cultivate community and provide a safe place for urban youth and young adults to explore and enjoy the arts. At this phase in our development, our venue will enrich over 10,000 guests annually, as we mentor dozens of youth and young adults through weekly classes, events and shows. Our next phase calls for a facility with more than 5 times this capacity.

Service Center: Venue events provide a platform to enlist volunteers to serve our city. Based on our experience with this model, we expect in this present phase to enlist 15% of concert patrons for at least four hours each of community service. Our goal in this phase is to mobilize 250 volunteers to give 1,000 hours to community service projects each year, as our service coordination team works with performers to promote specific service opportunities at each event. They simultaneously mobilize churches and other organizations to lead teams of volunteers developed at each event.

Mentoring Center: PMA partners with educational, service, and public agencies to provide urban youth with free, hands-on opportunities to explore and enjoy the arts through classes and personal attention. In addition to visual arts, young musicians can record a music demo. Aspiring film-makers can learn to shoot and edit a film. In addition, we mentor the hearts of young people by expanding their vision for who they are and can become.

Self-Funded Center: PMA integrates revenue-centers and alliances with other organizations to fulfill its organizational objectives as a self-perpetuating organization. Specifically:

Venue Events generate operating revenue and enlist service volunteers.

Revenue Sharing with key partners and space rentals provide additional operating revenue.

Partnering artists provide programs and mentoring for youth
